This past Thursday, the Science Department hosted the 2025 Ravenswood High Science Fair!
After a long day of presentations, the following projects placed first and will proceed to the county fair in January:

4. Earth and Environmental - Annie Starcher and Ryder Slaven “We are the Lorax. Speakers of the Landfills.”
5. Engineering Tech Systems and Dynamics - Bryson Copen and Braiden Hobson “3D Engineering”
6. Environmental Engineering - Chastity Brockett “REEs and Acid Mine Drainage”
7. Materials Science - Cole McGoskey “Backyard Rust Brawl. Ecofriendly Rust Cleaners.”
8. Math - Anna Long “It’s Just a Theory”
9. Microbiology - Meredith Marks and Evan Williamson “Wives’ Tale or Science?”
10. Physics and Astronomy - Peyton Mellinger “The Relationship Between Color and Heat"
11. Plant Sciences - Milea Miihlbach “The Cut That Counts"
12. Systems Software - Addison McCorkle and Khloe Barnett “Spot the Difference”
