Good evening.  Jackson County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for Thursday, January 18, 2024.  Some buses may not run complete routes due to road conditions, especially on roads that have not been treated. Social Studies Fair: Due to inclement weather, the Social Studies Fair has been moved to this Friday, January 19th. Students will begin setting up their projects in the morning and will present in the afternoon. Students that are set to compete, please contact your social studies teacher if you have any questions. Seniors and parents: The FAFSA workshop scheduled for today is cancelled. The workshop has been rescheduled for 1/30/24 for the same times of 2-7 pm. If you were scheduled for this event, you will be emailed by the WVHEPC to see if the same time works for you on 1/30. Good afternoon. This is Will Hosaflook, Superintendent of Jackson County Schools. On Tuesday, December 19, our internet service provider WVNET will be completing network maintenance on their server systems. It is very likely all governmental agencies and schools in West Virginia will not have internet access. However, all school phone systems should work if you need to contact the school. School personnel are aware of the internet outage and have adjusted their plans accordingly. Tuesday will be our last full day of school before Christmas break, while on Wednesday, December 20, students will be dismissed 3 hours early. Please have a wonderful Holiday Season.

Permission slip: reminder to Seniors who are attending the movie on Friday--please return your permission slip . Again, the trip is to celebrate the academic achievement from the SAT scores. Thank you, Bill Heis, Principal

Parents and/or Guardians of sophomores: On Tuesday, December 12, the 10th grade students will travel by bus to the Roane Jackson Technical Center. Students will tour the Technical Center and have a short assembly with the Director of RJTC. The bus will leave Ravenswood High at 8:15 and return to school at 11:15. Parents and/or Guardians of Seniors: Congratulations Seniors on your remarkable SAT scores! To celebrate your academic achievement, Ravenswood High is sponsoring a trip to the Regal Grand Central Mall on Friday, 12/15, where you will have an opportunity to watch Wonka. The bus will leave at approximately 9:30 and return by 3:00 (screening time at 11). Lunch will be provided, but you will have the opportunity to visit the food court if you wish.
