Due to a scheduling conflict with the state basketball tournament, we are moving the National Honor Society ceremony to Thursday, March 20th at 10:45 am. Should the boys' basketball team make the tournament, it would impact many of our students. Both the National Honor Society induction and state tournament are special events in which we recognize and support our student body, so we want to make it possible for students to participate in both.

Dear Parents,
I hope this message finds you well. We wanted to inform you that some of our students have recently been targeted by phishing emails. These deceptive messages are designed to appear as legitimate emails, often asking for personal information or prompting recipients to click on suspicious links or attachments.
To protect your child and their personal information, we strongly encourage you to remind them not to open any suspicious emails. Here are a few important tips to help avoid phishing attacks:
Do not open emails from unknown senders or those that seem unusual or unsolicited.
Be cautious of attachments or links in emails, especially if they seem out of place or contain odd requests.
Look for signs of phishing, such as misspelled words, urgent language, or unfamiliar sender addresses.
We take online security seriously and will continue to educate students on how to spot phishing attempts. However, we ask for your support in reinforcing these safety measures at home.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for helping to keep our students safe online.

Good afternoon, this is Will Hosaflook, Superintendent of Jackson County Schools. First, I would like to apologize for any concern that my decision this morning to have school has caused you. The decision was made from information gained through our school weather debriefing the evening before, and our early morning snow drivers reporting snow had not begun. However, I take full responsibility for this decision. Unfortunately, the system has moved north placing Jackson County in its path until 12:30 p.m. today. Instead of releasing students early, after careful review of all weather information, we will dismiss schools at the normal time allowing the Department of Highways time to treat roads before the evening commute. Please expect bus delays this evening. Our goal is to take all precautionary measures to ensure a safe trip home for all children and staff. If your child drives to school, please consider picking them up or having them ride a bus home. Also, our principals will stay at their schools until all students have been picked up and returned home safely. Once again, I apologize for this morning and the issues it has caused. Thank you.
